thank god! the weather's finally getting warmer...still not quite spring yet, but at least i don't have to pile on layers and layers of clothing anymore!! hehe. it's around 7-13 here everyday, which is pretty nice, compared to say....toronto!! hehe
anyway, i went shoppint in tokyo on sunday with a friend. it was awesome. we went to a place Ueno and there were tons of shops there. we went to this shopping mall and we spent 3 hours there! just looking at everything. i ended up buying 2 bags there! haha. it was sooo cool. and they aren't even expensive either. they're both so cute!! love them soo much. haha. and i also found a store there that sell really cool fucky things, just my type of store. i'm so gonna go back there. it's the best store ever!! you HAVE to come and see for yourself!!
so after that, we went to Harajuku, the things there are more expensive, but one of my students told me about this store there. it's really nice. it's a 2 storey 2nd hand clothing store. but the clothes there don't seem like used at all. everything was so nice and clean. and believe me, if they were gross, i wouldn't even touch them. i ended up buying another dress there. but the funny thing is, when i got home and really looked at the tag, i realized it was from amerian eagle outfitters!! i came all the way to japan to get somthing from canada/US. hehe.
but i went home really satisfied that day. man 2 bags in a day? never happened before. i'm in heaven here! bags are soo nice and cheap. hehe

finally here!!! after..........3 months? haha

i went snowboarding yesterday with my teacher friends Stef and Christine and some Japanese friends, Tomo and Kasu. it was a lot of fun. we went to Niigata prefecture (where they had the big earthquake back in Oct) it was about a 4 hour drive to get up there. i fell asleep in the car and when i woke up, it was snow EVERYWHERE!!! it was so cool. on the side of the street, the snow was piled up really high, it was even taller than a van!!!! it was awesome!!

snowboarding was really fun. but now i'm so sore all over! haha, i kept falling down so now i have bruises all over too. but it was awesome!! i'm sooo glad i went. although i was always the last one down and everyone had to wait for me, we still had so much fun :) the view was just breath-taking! it was worth all the pain to get up there and back down :P

it has been quite an amazing couple of days. well, sunday night and tonight that is.

so on sunday, christine(one of the teachers) invited a few teachers to her house for a get-together dinner. well, she accidentally cut her finger when she was cooking and it wouldn't stop bleeding, after 2 hours!!! so after we finished eating dinner, some of the guys looked at it for her and they washed it. so, it turned out she pretty much cut off the tip of her finger. so it hurt like hell!! and she started screaming because it was soooo painful. now see, for those of you who know me well, i'm not good with blood AT ALL! so after a few drinks, plus the screaming and all the blood that i saw, my stomach felt really sick. i tried to get some fresh air from the window, but it didn't really work. i had to run for the bathroom before i puked all over her place. now, it wasn't like i had a lot to drink too. i only have 3/4 of a cocktail (in a can), but combined with the blood. that was just deadly!! everything was fine after that though. we had dessert and talked for a bit longer before people headed back home. it was a really fun night in general!

it's some teachers' birthday today, so we went to a local pub in our neighbourhood to celebrate their birthdays. it was really fun. the owner there is awesome. he's super friendly and the food/drinks there are pretty cheap. it's a regular hang out place for the teachers. when we finished drinking there, we went to karaoke. haha, it was my first time going to a karaoke in japan. it's pretty cool. it was funny seeing all the teachers act crazy too. they were all pretty drunk by the time we got to the karaoke place, so they were dancing and singing like crazy. it was so much fun!!! we didn't leave until maybe 3 am!! lucky it's a national holiday tomorrow, so no one has to work!! yay!!!!!

holy, some people are so ....i don't even know how to describe it. but anyway, last night when a colleague and i got home, we found this bag of garbage sitting on our hallway with a note in japanese attached to it. it basically says that it is not the colour that our city uses (we use brown garbage bags and that one was green) so yeah, the note says that we shouldn't put out garbage bags that are green because it's not the city's "official" garbage bag colour. but it wasn't even us. they just assume that it was us the gaijin people. so dumb...
